

Target group: This beginners’ course is meant for A1–A2 (basic user) level students.
General description: Do you want to learn basic English language skills and understand straightforward texts? How about communicating in everyday situations, understanding short notices and simple directions? During the course you will learn to use the language in real life situations - shopping, hobbies, at the restaurant etc.
Content: The focus is on everyday topics; introductions, small talk, telephone conversations. The grammar points covered in the course are verb tenses, articles, adjectives, auxiliary verbs, it and there. The course will be entirely tailor-made for the students’ needs and the teacher will provide the materials.
Learning methods: Pair work activities, listening exercises, reading exercises and choral practice. Sometimes appropriate games are used to suit to the current topic. A lot of emphasis is put on the speaking activities; the most important goal in this course is to activate the spoken English language.
