Level B2-C2
This group will meet once a month on Mondays. Ideally there will be 4-6 students in each group who share a professional interest in health and social welfare issues in Finland and internationally. Your field of interest may, for example, be related to inequalities in healthcare, social aspects of immigration, services for children and families, care of the elderly or substance abuse.
Discussion work will focus on topical issues in health and social welfare both in Finland and internationally; we will also practise reading, listening and writing skills, and rehearse professional skills such as presentations and meetings.
If your current position requires you to discuss health and social welfare issues in English, if you receive visitors from abroad or if you travel to conferences in other countries, whether you represent a public sector organisation or a private company, this course is a real opportunity for you to expand your vocabulary and improve your communication skills.
